I took some photos earlier this year while at the Japanese Water Gardens here in Houston. One picture I ran through Painter 4. I thought it turned out nice and so I am using it in my new SnagTags.

Halloween Buddies Tag Tut

I created a new tutorial for a tag similar to the one below and called it "Halloween Buddies".

It is a bit easier since the vines are not animated on this one. If you are experienced enough in PSP and AS, you don't need me to explain how to sparkle the vines anyway.

I always try to keep new tag creators in mind since so many tutorials out there are really awesome but they are for the more experienced taggers.

With this tut I included a supply link which includes some original items from me. I hope you enjoy the tut and making the tag.

Barry's Place, PSP Tubez

For a very long time now I have been a member of Barry's Place. He lives in South Africa and has some of the most wonderful clip art, tubes, gradients, textures, doodles, frames, seamless tiles, backgrounds, stickers (you print out on sticker paper) ...I mean you think of it and he probably has it.

Not only that but if you are a teacher, Sunday School teacher, or home schooling and trying to fund out of your own pocket, something fun for your young students, this is THE PLACE to go. Barry has some crazy  membership specials running right now, such as you can get a 6 year membership for only $55.95! That is less than $10.00 a year! No where will you find his quality of tubes, etc for this price. His goodies are Photoshop, PaintShop Pro, etc compliant. You'll have to check out his site to see everything. Does anyone even remember what today is?  Does Oct 12, 1492 ring a bell?

The banks are closed and mail won't run so someone remembers.

Halloween Tags & News

 What a difference a few days can make!

Everyone is still reeling from TART's announcement that they'll be closing the doors Nov. 1st, but all will not be lost. Another member and myself (and we hope many others in the group), have started a discussion board. More on this sneak-peak of the good news later this month. Everything is still in the planning stages at this time so stay tuned!

SAD NEWS!

Early this morning I read some bittersweet news concerning MyTagArt and wanted to share it with you .


As readers of this Blog know, I buy the darling (family friendly) tubes of the artist with My Tag Art. TART (as they are affectionately referred to) just announced this morning, that they will be closing the doors Nov. 1st. The bittersweet part is that until the end of Oct, all (ALL) items on the site will be 50% off. This means many tubes will be 88¢, photograph packs (6 images/pk) will be $3.50.


For you scrappers, they already have a Freebie Scrap section so you better hurry. (The TOU are listed at the top pf that page.) Many of you are familiar with Shal's World scrap designer. She has many scrap kits with TART and now these are on sale as well, ALL for just $1!


So, while I will grab as many tubes as I can, it is sad to know MyTagArt will be closing. Please read the details at the MyTagArt Blog and take advantage of this sale!


TART's closing will not affect my Blog here, I will just buy from the other great tube art companies from which I hold a license...but TART was like family.
